(RightWing.org) – President Biden is planning a massive tax raid on Americans to pay for his socialist spending ambitions, and Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has been working to force the legislation through the House. It turns out the scale of Biden’s rapacity is too much for even some Democrats, though – and some are starting to jump ship.
On March 30, three Democrat congressmen announced that they wouldn’t support any tax increases unless they’re accompanied by the abolition of a cap on deductions for state and local taxes. Right now, there’s a $10,000 limit on how much state and local tax can be written off against federal tax bills. The Trump administration brought in that cap in 2017, but reductions in federal income tax rates balanced it. Now, some Dems are arguing that Biden’s planned tax hikes will destroy that balance, and if taxes go up, the cap should be abolished to compensate.

The first three rebels were Representatives Josh Gottenheimer (D-NJ), Tom Suozzi (D-NY) and Bill Pascrell (D-NJ). On March 31, Mikie Sherrill (D-NJ) added her name to the list. That’s enough to block Pelosi and Biden’s tax plans – so where do the Dems go now?
