Democrats Aren't Returning to Offices

( – Democrats love to talk about conducting their affairs with complete transparency. However, when push comes to shove — more times than not, they seem to love to operate in the dark. For instance, after two years of COVID-based restrictions, several Democrats still haven’t returned to their offices.

During his recent State of the Union address, President Joe Biden called on Americans to return to their jobs. “People working from home can feel safe [and] return to [their] office[s],” Biden urged.

Nevertheless, an investigation by The Washington Free Beacon revealed several Democratic lawmakers’ offices remain closed. Additionally, these offices don’t have staff members available to meet with concerned constituents and other interested parties.

Instead, visitors to Capitol Hill find signs notifying visitors the legislators weren’t available due to COVID-related concerns. Incredibly, key Democrats like Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) were among the absent legislators.

Similarly, visitors to the office of Nevada’s Democratic Senator Catherine Cortez Masto found a simple sign stating “cleaning not required” on the door. Masto’s decision to abandon ship may haunt her as she faces a formidable challenger in the upcoming midterm elections. The list goes on.

Other Democrats offered modified office hours with some, like Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) and Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA), refusing to meet with constituents.

What do you think is behind all these inexplicable absences? Could it be they are avoiding their voters?
