Top Democrat Senator Turns On Biden – Dismisses Him
(RightWing.org) – World leaders, policymakers, and elected officials were set to meet at the Free Iran World Summit 2022 from July 23 to 24, but organizers of the event abruptly canceled the gathering amid a rash of terrorist threats. However, a pre-taped speech for the event prepared by Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) recently emerged, showing him calling President Joe Biden’s Iran policy a “fantasy.”
Menendez, the head of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said the Biden administration was wasting its time trying to return to former President Barack Obama’s ill-fated 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as the Iran Nuclear Deal.
President Biden campaigned on a promise to restore the deal and has promoted the idea at home and abroad. Menendez’s speech noted that a return to the agreement was “not only unrealistic and unproductive, [but also] a fantasy.” He also warned that Iran is continuing to “advance its nuclear program” despite “censure” from the international community.

Additionally, the senator said Iranian officials are doing their best to extend negotiations using “delaying tactics and brinkmanship.” At the same time, the terrorist state has partnered with Russian President Vladimir Putin to support his ongoing war with Ukraine.
The Iran Nuclear Deal hoped to restrict the volatile middle eastern countryโs ability to develop nuclear arms, but former President Donald Trump withdrew from the agreement in 2018, calling it “decaying and rotten,” and an “embarrassment” to him as an American.
