Democrat Expert Witness Says Men Can Get Pregna

(RightWing.org) – On May 18, the House Judiciary Committee held a hearing on the so-called “Ongoing Crisis in Abortion Care Access” in the wake of the recent leak of a draft opinion from the Supreme Court indicating it might overturn Roe v. Wade. While committee Democrats focused on preserving the legality of abortions, Republicans questioned witnesses on various subjects, including gender identity. In one stunning exchange, an abortion-rights advocate claimed men could get pregnant and have abortions.

Rep. Dan Bishop (R-NC) asked Aimee Arrambide, the head of the pro-abortion group Avow Texas, “what would you say a woman is?”

Arrambide replied it was up to everyone to “identify” the meaning of the term “for themselves.”

Bishop followed up, asking, “Do you believe… men can become pregnant and have abortions?”

In a stunning move, Arrambide gave a one-word answer: “Yes!”

Rep. Bishop asked reproductive health expert and board-certified OBGYN Dr. Yashica Robinson the same question later in the hearing.

Robinson responded it’s important to understand that some individuals who become pregnant “may not identify” using the pronouns “she” and “her.” She also claimed it was “discriminatory” to speak to people or refer to them in a manner inconsistent with how they self-identify.
