(RightWing.org) – House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-SC) made a clumsy attempt Sunday to smear President Trump as a racist – but was rapidly shot down by former NFL star athlete Herschel Walker. Clyburn was talking to Fox News on November 1 when he told hosts Martha MacCallum and Bret Baier that he’d pray for “any Black man [who] can… cast a vote for a man who referred to a Black woman as a dog on national television…”
Well James @WhipClyburn, I saw you on @FoxNews talking to @marthamaccallum & @BretBaier. I will pray for you cause you seem highly upset! @realDonaldTrump @TheLeoTerrell @TimScottSC @MariaBartiromo pic.twitter.com/enQWXeYrBg

The apparently confused Clyburn was probably getting mixed up with a tweet the president sent in August, which had no racist implications at all.
It seems Clyburn’s comments annoyed Walker, who played as a running back for five teams in a 14-year NFL career as well as competing in bobsleigh at the Olympic level and excelling at track events, mixed martial arts and even ballet. Walker, a devout Christian, told Clyburn he was going to pray for him as well, saying “you took the president a little out of context,” adding that Democrats have been doing that for a long time. It seems that Herschel, who won both his professional MMA fights by a knockout, can deliver a solid verbal punch too.
