Child Sting Operation Leads to Multiple Arrests

(RightWing.org) – A new child exploitation scandal has erupted in ultra-liberal Oregon after a police sting operation netted six pedophiles. Shockingly, two of the men work with children. The state has the highest percentage of registered sex offenders in the US, and it seems there are plenty more lurking below the surface.

On April 13, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office announced it had just carried out a sting operation aimed at catching perverts looking for sex with children. According to the press release, the department’s investigators set up accounts on dating apps, social media platforms and other online locations, then posed as underage children. If anyone contacted the accounts and tried to arrange a meeting, they were given a location to go to; when they arrived there, they were arrested.

All six detainees are men aged 19 to 29. Three come from Portland (Washington County is part of the Portland metro area); all of them were charged with luring a minor and online sexual corruption of a child.

Worryingly, one of the suspects — 29-year-old Portland man Sean Baba — is the Director of Music Ministry at a Catholic school and church; another, Te’Vari Jenkins of Gresham, is a director at the Club K after-school program in nearby Wilsonville. Both these jobs involve working with children.

Offender data shows that Oregon has more perverts per head than any other state. Out of every 100,000 Oregonians, 772 are registered sex offenders — and the state has held that dubious record for at least the last four years.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is encouraging parents to stay aware of what their kids are doing online and to warn them about the dangers. It’s also asking anyone who has more information about the six men just arrested to get in touch; cops are worried the suspects could already have committed crimes against children.
