(RightWing.org) – Quarantine opponents have come up with some creative ways to work around local restrictions. However, Rob McCoy, a California pastor, may have won the prize for creativity with his latest effort to conduct in-person worship services — he temporarily turned his chapel into a strip club.
Pastor McCoy got the idea from a November 17 Fox News segment featuring former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee (R). He and host Sean Hannity discussed a November 12 ruling by a San Diego judge allowing strip clubs to reopen pending a full hearing at the end of the month. Huckabee, a Christian minister, suggested churches could promote their services by announcing their pastors would remove their tie during their sermons, technically turning their chapels into strip clubs.

McCoy took things a step further, dancing and removing his tie accompanied by striptease music channeled through Godspeak Calvary Chapel’s PA system. He even tossed his tie to elated parishioners who jumped to their feet — some of them waving dollar bills.
It’s good to see community leaders like Pastor McCoy using humor to combat regressive local restrictions. Best of all, he didn’t receive any citations for performing his in-person sermon.
