Bloomberg Joins Dem Race For White House

After months of “will he or won’t he” speculation about his intentions, former NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg officially launched his campaign for the Democratic Party presidential nomination on Sunday. As a late entrant to the field, he’s missed out on five high-profile debates and faces a tough challenge against more established runners who’ve had time to build up some momentum, but Bloomberg apparently feels he’s in with a chance.

The campaign launch was made through a one-minute video ad distributed on social media, suggesting that Bloomberg is pitching his campaign to younger voters. He also posted a message on his campaign website. On it, he told readers:

“We cannot afford four more years of President Trump’s reckless and unethical actions. He represents an existential threat to our country and our values. If he wins another term in office, we may never recover from the damage.”

It’s good to see that the latest Democrat candidate is keeping up the hysterical drama we’ve gotten used to from the others.
