Biggest Newspaper In Ilhan Omar’s State Endorses Her Challenger Because Of Her “Ethics” Problems

( – Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has been involved in more scandals than most politicians ever will. And, they are finally catching up to her.

According to the Daily Wire, one of the largest newspapers in Omar’s home state has just announced that it’ll endorse her challenger for Congress. The Minnesota Star-Tribune has officially endorsed the “Squad” member’s primary opponent because they claim Omar has had too many “ethical distractions” to effectively serve in office.

Too Many “Ethical Distractions”

First-term Congresswoman and member of the “Squad” Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has already faced her fair share — or more than — of controversy in the last two years. Even her hometown newspaper is calling her out, citing her failure to unite the district.

Omar is no stranger to having her name linked with controversy by the press — typically of her own doing. Some of the more infamous accounts include:

The House Judiciary Chairman, Jerry Nadler (D-NY), publicly chided her and fellow Squad member Representative Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) for forwarding an anti-Semitic cartoon he said had a “vile underlying message.”

A friend accused the congresswoman of being in an incestuous marriage with her brother, Ahmed Elmi, for the purposes of getting him citizenship papers. This also brought up an issue — potential bigamy — because she was already wed in a Muslim ceremony (Shari’a law) to another man. This marriage, to Ahmed Hirsi, was legally binding under American law in 2018.

In February 2020, news broke that Omar was having an illicit affair with her chief fundraiser Tim Mynett and they were actually living together on a part-time basis. Hirsi walked in on the lovers both lounging around in pajamas, which is strictly forbidden for a married woman under the Islamic code and was reportedly paid tens of thousands of dollars by his soon-to-be ex-wife not to make the news public.

She then made Mynett her third husband while still retaining his firm for her campaign consulting outfit. In July of this year, it came to light that her payments of almost $1.6 million to his company are almost 50% of the total layout made by her campaign during this latest Federal Election Commission (FEC) cycle.

Not What This Country Needs

In her short tenure representing the 5th Congressional District of Minnesota, she has definitely made a splash in the world. But, probably not for the reason she would’ve wanted. She has continually bad-mouthed President Donald Trump, proven herself to be a rabid hater of the Jewish state, and seemingly downplayed the attack that took down the Twin Towers by saying, “some people did something.” Perhaps her opponent will do America favor and unseat her.
