(RightWing.org) – President Biden has always had a reputation for clumsy verbal gaffes, but recently he’s looked less bumbling and more sinister. On September 1, he alarmed the country by giving a threatening speech backed by blood-red lighting and uniformed Marines. Now, he seems to be taunting us about the high gas prices partly caused by his own policies.

Gas prices in the US are still close to a record high, as the global energy crisis meshes with Biden’s green agenda to restrict supplies and push costs up. Ordinary Americans are struggling to put fuel in their cars. So, of course, Biden thinks this is the perfect time for a pic of himself in an expensive classic gas guzzler.

On October 4, Biden tweeted, “Get in, folks. We’re building a better America,” above a photo of him sitting in his 1967 Chevrolet Corvette, a $75,000 classic car — and one that, in a massive blow to the president’s green credentials, gets just 14.2 miles to the gallon. The tone-deaf tweet attracted a storm of criticism, with one reply showing a gas station sign advertising premium unleaded at $6.89 a gallon and another saying, “I guess electric vehicles are for only for us peasants.”

The last word went to the US Oil and Gas Association, which lovingly described the classic muscle car’s vital statistics, then ended, “It runs on gasoline. To build a better America — we will still need it…” The president seems to have forgotten that in the green future he wants to build, he won’t be able to drive his shiny toy.
