(RightWing.org) – Recent reports indicate that administration officials are doing their best to insulate President Joe Biden from unnecessary contact with media members. That information has led to widespread concerns regarding his ability to manage high-level diplomatic talks with world leaders without someone around to walk him through it. Now, it appears Americans may never know what is happening behind the closed doors of recent NATO and G-7 talks.
Washington Post writer and MSNBC foreign policy contributor Anne Rumsey Gearan reported that US media members were locked out of a meeting between Biden and Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan for about an hour-and-a-half in Brussels. Turkish media officials were allowed into the June 14 meeting. Officials failed to provide an explanation for American reporters being shunned.
1.5 hours and counting outside the room where President Biden is meeting with Turkish leader Erdogan. We were supposed to go in for a picture and remarks at the start. Turkish official media was allowed in. We have not been. No explanation. #freepress pic.twitter.com/pXKojjXDMO

Josh Wingrove, Bloomberg News White House reporter, confirmed American reporters were held outside the meeting for over 90 minutes. According to him, Biden declined to say anything to reporters once they were allowed in other than relating it was a “very good meeting.”
Equally concerning is the fact that the White House website failed to provide a readout of Biden’s meeting with the Turkish leader. However, readouts of his meeting with other global leaders appeared on the site including meetings with the heads of Switzerland, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.
One has to wonder what Biden may have to hide about that meeting?
