(RightWing.org) – During the second and final debate between President Donald Trump and Joe Biden, conservatives all over the country were likely yelling at their televisions, “c’mon man.” Biden repeatedly had a hard time with the truth, and the morning after the debate, fact-checkers were having a field day with the treasure trove of Pinocchio’s that Biden threw out.
Where to start?
Obamacare, fracking, Russian misinformation about the alleged play for pay scandal, and minimum wage all made the list of lies from the October 22 debate. Biden has a long and storied history of lying over his nearly 50-year political career. However, there wasn’t ever this much in one event.
Let’s jump in and look at what Biden said and contrast it with the facts.
Few things are as important to Americans as their healthcare. However, there is a lot the former vice president gave us to digest and consider. There are two critical points Biden made that are just flat out wrong.
“The idea I want to eliminate private insurance — not one person with private insurance would lose their health insurance under my plan. Nor did they under Obamacare. They did not lose their insurance unless they chose [that] they wanted to go to something else.”
Why does America keep believing these people?
For those of us old enough to remember, President Obama said, “If you like your health care plan, you can keep it.” That wasn’t true when he said it, and he knew it. In fact, millions of Americans were forced off of their insurance plans because it was determined the plans didn’t fit the qualifications under Obamacare. The policyholders didn’t get a choice in the matter. It was the principal reason Republicans swept the House in 2010 and enjoyed their biggest congressional majorities since the 1920s.
Obama later said, “I am sorry that they are finding themselves in this situation based on assurances they got from me.”
Biden said he is not for socialized medicine. Instead, he wants a public option to make insurance more affordable. The problem… Obamacare never got less expensive from 2010 – 2016. Premiums went up and millions in the middle class made just enough money that they didn’t qualify for subsidies. Yet, the premiums were out of reach, and they had to pay the individual mandate. In 2015, 6.7 million taxpayers paid the penalty because they couldn’t afford the insurance.
There is one other notable problem: subsidies are public dollars paid by the government. That is social healthcare. Assuming the subsidies drive down premiums, Americans who buy their insurance may flock to the lower-priced public option. Ultimately, it will destroy private insurance, and all that will be left are government plans.
This one is simple and straightforward. In 2019, during the Democratic primary, Biden said he would eliminate fracking and fossil fuel usage. During the debate, he claimed he never said he opposed fracking. Well, the video says something very different:

Instead of denying the allegations of the Biden play for pay scandal, Biden said the entire story is misinformation. Is this the best he can do? Why would he argue that point when the Director of National Intelligence, FBI, and other agencies have said the laptop, and the emails on it are not Russian misinformation?
Additionally, Hunter Biden’s former business partner, Tony Bobulinski, held a press conference before the debate. He said three phones and a laptop would corroborate the New York Post’s story and that the former vice president was not telling the truth. He turned over scores of documents and information to two Senate committees and the FBI.
Biden claimed that raising the minimum wage to $15 would not hurt small businesses and cause many to close. Apparently, all his years of fuzzy government math have clouded his common sense on economic principles. A study by Harvard Business School in August 2018 says just the opposite.
During the 2020 campaign, Biden has gotten used to saying anything he wants. The media doesn’t hold him accountable for his false statements.
It’s up to America to discover the facts for themselves since the press doesn’t seem willing to be an objective arbiter of truth.
