(RightWing.org) – If Republicans follow their Constitutional mandate and confirm Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court next week, Democrats promise there will be consequences. They are threatening to “pack” the court if they win the Senate and White House and keep the House of Representatives.
Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden refuses to say if he will go along with his fellow Democrats. However, at the ABC town hall debate on Thursday, October 15, he may have tipped his hand.
Pressed repeatedly by @GStephanopoulos on his position on court packing, Joe Biden says, “I’m not a fan … it depends on how this turns out,” adding that it depends on how Republicans handle the confirmation of Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett. https://t.co/JEyTOkB6qk pic.twitter.com/rpcrzh5aRO

Biden said he might tell voters before the election. It would depend on how Republicans “handle” the nomination of Barrett. Republicans say they have the votes to confirm her before the November 3 election.
What Biden is suggesting is that he might agree to court-packing if Democrats don’t get their way. Their vendetta against Barrett and Republicans is two-fold:
- Barrett is an originalist conservative who could impact or overturn Roe v. Wade or Obamacare.
- Revenge for Republicans not allowing the confirmation of Obama’s pick of Judge Merritt Garland in 2016.
Biden’s refusal to answer the question has caused controversy, making some question if he is the straight shooter he claims to be.
