(RightWing.org) – President Joe Biden has made it a point to destroy former President Donald Trump’s legacy wherever he can. His most recent move is being called federal overreach after he reversed the 45th president’s orders to reduce the size of two national monuments.
Before former President Barack Obama left office in 2016, he designated 1.35 million acres of land as the Bears Ears National Monument in Utah at the request of Native American tribes. In 2017, Trump reduced the size of Bears Ears to 228,000 acres and another park, the Grand Staircase-Escalante, from 1.88 million acres to roughly 1 million acres.
On October 8, Biden reversed Trump’s order, restoring the land to the Obama-era boundaries.

As expected, the mainstream media is selling the reversal as a win for the American people and Native Americans. However, what Biden did was seize more than one million acres of land from Utah residents. The state could have used that land for economic purposes or whatever else it decided. The Democratic president trampled all over the state’s rights.
Although Native American tribes are happy with the decision now, how long will that last? Biden didn’t hand over control to those tribes; he gave it to the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Forest Service. Why would the tribes trust the administration to properly care for their allegedly sacred land?
