(RightWing.org) – Supreme Court nominations can do more than realign the balance of power on the court. They can also steer the course of their party’s influence across a broad spectrum. Take, for instance, Donald Trump’s appointment of Judge Amy Coney Barrett.
Hoping to mirror that success, Joe Biden is already “maneuvering” (to quote the ultra left-leaning New York Times) to use the next Supreme Court nomination to the Left’s advantage. Democrats, like Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC), are expressing concern at the success of Republicans to become the party of the working class. For that reason, they are working with Biden to push for the nomination of a Black woman of modest means.
NEW: There may not be a Supreme Court vacancy yet, but a handful of Democrats have been maneuvering behind the scenes since last month.
And now they’re going public w their case, setting the stage for a (summer?) debate over class, credentialism + Obamahttps://t.co/0OTgvpCmxD

Democrats already come across as elitists with little concern for rank and file Americans. But it’s probably going to take a lot more than a Supreme Court nomination to pull women and American workers back into the party.
