Biden CANCELS MORE American Gas Drilling With Latest Order
(RightWing.org) – Rising gas prices are hammering our economy and making life miserable for millions of ordinary Americans. President Biden says he’s doing what he can to increase domestic fuel supplies. Yet, he’s quietly banning drilling on millions of acres of public land at the same time.
On April 25, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), part of the Department of the Interior, issued a bland press release confirming that following a review of the 2020 Integrated Activity Plan (IAP), the BLM would manage the National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska (NPR-A) under the 2013 IAP. This announcement doesn’t tell people very much, and that could be deliberate. The 2013 IAP recommended closing almost half of the NPR-A to drilling, while the Trump-era 2020 version would have allowed oil and gas exploration in over 80% of the reserve.
🚨 The Biden administration is CLOSING OFF ALMOST HALF of the 23-million-acre National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska from oil and gas drilling, overturning a Trump-era policy that would have allowed oil development on more than 80 percent of the reserve.

The difference is significant; Trump’s plan would have allowed energy companies to lease up to 18.6 million acres of the NPR-A; the 2013 version slashes that to around 13 million acres. The BLM says it decided to give “greater protections to environmental values,” but what about protecting the American people from record gas prices and runaway inflation?
