Bail Fund Backed by Harris and Biden Campaign Helped Hard Core Criminals

( – In the wake of protests and riots that broke out in Minneapolis due to the death of George Floyd in police custody, a fund was set up to ensure bail for alleged criminals deemed worthy of it by a judge. Some members of Joe Biden’s campaign team, and his running mate Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), encouraged their supporters to donate to the Minnesota Freedom Fund (MFF). That move just reinforces President Trump’s message that Biden doesn’t support law and order.

Over the summer, the MMF raised $35 million. The fund not only bailed out rioters who destroyed parts Minneapolis, but it also helped some hardcore criminals who had nothing to do with the protests and riots. It bailed out a man charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct for raping an eight-year-old girl. Other alleged criminals assisted by the fund include people charged with second-degree murder, sexual assault, and kidnapping.

Bail money is akin to collateral to guarantee that an alleged criminal will appear in court at a future date. When the alleged criminal shows up at court, the money is refunded to the person or entity that paid the bail. If the suspected criminal skips court, the payee of the bail loses the money.

Harris’s and the campaign’s support of the MFF became a campaign issue on Thursday night, September 17, when President Trump announced the donations at a campaign rally in Mosinee, WI.

Trump’s pressure may persuade moderate Democrats and Independents who support law and order to vote Republican in November. Time will tell.
