(RightWing.org) – Far-left congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is leveraging her network of radical supporters into a powerful fundraising machine she hopes will win her a second term in Congress.
In April and May alone, AOC managed to bring in $2.4 million in fresh donations. That brings her total fund for the June 23 primary to $10.5 million – over four times what her challenger, moderate Democrat Michelle Caruso-Cabrera, has managed to raise. It looks like AOC is planning to use her financial clout to compensate for her reluctance to debate challengers.

The big difference between the two campaigns is AOC’s ability to bring in grassroots donations. Caruso-Cabrera has raised about 20% of her total funding from individual contributions, with the bulk coming from businesses. For AOC, it’s the other way round – 79% of her funds come from grassroots donors.
The good news for New York businesses is that the US Chamber of Commerce is contributing to defeat AOC. Should make for some interesting results next week — stay tuned.
