(RightWing.org) – President Donald Trump has repeatedly promised the American people he was going to bring our troops home from overseas. And he has kept that promise. In fact, US Central Command recently announced even more soldiers will soon see their families.
On September 9, Marine Gen. Frank McKenzie, commander for the US Central Command, announced 2,200 troops are leaving Iraq by the end of September. The move will reduce the number of troops by over 40%, according to Fox News. The general said the US will continue “assisting our Iraqi partners” in the fight against ISIS.
President Trump’s son, Eric, celebrated the news.
BREAKING: Trump to order thousands of troops home from Afghanistan & Iraq! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

The US has been embroiled in wars for nearly two decades. There’s an entire generation of young Americans who have never lived during peacetime. President Trump hopes to change that, and his latest decision is another example of promises made, promises kept.
