(RightWing.org) – Following on from last month’s historic agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, President Trump has scored another diplomatic success – this time in one of the world’s most bitter conflicts.
Kosovo is a former province of Serbia that declared independence in 2008 after a bloody civil war in 1999 and 2000. Since then, relations between the two countries have been tense, and sometimes openly hostile – but now they’ve agreed, with the help of President Trump, to normalize economic relations.
Another historic day at the @WhiteHouse! Under President @realDonaldTrump’s leadership, Serbia & Kosovo took a step towards peace and committed to Economic Normalization. Kosovo will also recognize Israel & Serbia has pledged to move its Embassy to Jerusalem! pic.twitter.com/ihJDPI04IT

On top of the improvement in Serb-Kosovar relations, the president has also made a breakthrough in both countries’ relations with Israel. Over 95% of Kosovo’s population is Muslim, and like most Muslim states, the government didn’t recognize Israel’s right to exist.
Now, in a historic move, Israel and Kosovo have formally recognized each other as sovereign states. Meanwhile, Serbia has agreed to move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, following the example of the US. Kosovo’s new embassy will also be in Jerusalem, making it the first Muslim country to recognize the city as Israel’s capital.
While President Trump’s enemies snipe at him at home, he’s continuing to make a positive difference to the world.
