(RightWing.org) – President Joe Biden and the rest of his administration appear to be making a concerted effort to open a floodgate of illegal aliens at the Mexican border. This is particularly true in Texas where Governor Greg Abbott (R) has had the temerity to stand against him.
The Texan has had a string of large buoys erected across part of the Rio Grande River near the city of Eagle Pass to impede the flow of drug and human traffickers crossing the border, the Department of Justice (DOJ) sued and won an injunction to have them removed, but an appeals court stayed that ruling.
Now, Abbott claims that the federal government is taking a more direct approach by cutting down a razor wire barrier erected to stop overland incursions in that same area.
If You Won’t, I Will
Abbott sent a letter to Biden dated November 16, 2022, advising him that he was invoking Article I, ยง 10, Clause 3 of the U.S. Constitution because his administration has abdicated its duty to protect Texas from an invasion of illegal entrants and drug cartels. The pertinent wording in the clause is that absent the Consent of Congress, a State will not “engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay.”
On his X (formerly Twitter) feed Abbott posted a copy of the November letter on September 20 and reiterated that he had “officially declared an invasion” coming up from Mexico, stating as a simple fact that Texas is “building a border wall, razor wire & marine barriers.”

In a separate post on that same day, he shared a video that purportedly shows federal agents cutting down the razor wire and then actually waving a line of illegals through the hole. He then said he dispatched “more Texas National Guard to repel illegal crossings & install more razor wire.”

Apprehensions by Border Patrol agents reached an incredible ~140,000 illegal immigrants who “crossed the border without authorization during the first 20 days of September,” according to CBS News — typically a Left-leaning, Biden apologetic source.
Meanwhile, the president spent the evening of September 21, speaking at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute’s yearly dinner, and where he pointed the finger of blame was equal parts predictable, obsolete, and, to be honest, pathetic. While the country has been saddled with Biden and his policies for close to three years now, he still turned to his old whipping boy, former President Donald Trump, and his MAGA supporters. He accused them of “gutting the immigration system,” during the last administration and claims that they “continue to undermine” security there.
Perhaps this is another sign pointing to his alleged drop in mental acuity?
