Trump NOTIFIED – 32 Lawmakers Join A New Movement
(RightWing.org) – Democratic lawmakers tirelessly labored first to undermine Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign and then his presidency. In mid-January 2021, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and her gang of Liberals embraced the false claims that Trump orchestrated the January 6 riot and used it as an excuse to force a Senate impeachment trial. However, a group of Republican lawmakers has plans to expunge the former president’s second impeachment.
On May 18, Rep. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) issued a press release announcing the introduction of a resolution to erase Trump’s second impeachment trial. Thirty-one other Congressional Republicans co-sponsored the bill, including GOP Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY) and representatives Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Ronny Jackson (R-TX), and Mike Kelly (R-PA).

The resolution, H.Res.1131, noted that the House used a “subjective account” of the January 6, 2021, Capitol Building riot as the basis for Trump’s impeachment for “incitement of insurrection,” as detailed in H.Res.24.
Likewise, the measure failed to take into account widespread claims of “unusual voting patterns [and] voting anomalies” during the 2020 presidential election and consider Trump’s admonition to attendees at his speech at the Ellipse to march “patriotically [and] make your voiced heard.”
The resolution also noted that Democrats didn’t adhere to long-standing House procedural norms and violated Trump’s due process rights. If the measure passes, it will expunge the former president’s impeachment as if the Democratic-led House had never passed H.Res.24.
